Both pieces of software were developed by Nik software using their control point technology and were excellent. ViewNX was bundled but still capable of developing RAW. CaptureNX was much more powerful for editing but came at a price. Nikon CaptureNX2 and ViewNX2 was Nikon's developer/file manger software suite. But I haven't updated since.wouldn't be surprised if they'd decided to retire it. It continues to work for me on CS 6 I had to do this to open RAWs from a J5 recently about a year ago. If you download the Adobe Camera RAW updates I think you should be able to simply import the RAWs from your Nikon camera into Photoshop directly via ACR? Best if I can convert to DNG so I can use with my PS CS4. What i am looking for is a lightroom equivalent. So what are all these Nikon software? ViewNX-i, ViewNX 2, Capture NX-D, and Capture NX 2?
